POLICIES
Fitment disclaimer
Effective October 30, 2026.
Our fit badges tell you whether a part bolts on to the vehicle you choose. They are a careful guide, checked by our team, but they can't account for every vehicle and setup. This page explains how they work, what they can't promise, and what happens if a part doesn't fit. It is part of our Terms.
How fit badges work
Set your vehicle, with the details the site asks for, and every part shows one badge:
- FITS YOUR [vehicle] (yellow): the part bolts on to your vehicle as it left the factory, at the setup shown.
- FITS WITH [condition] (outlined): the part fits only with the condition the badge states, such as a leveling kit or trimming. Read the condition before you buy.
- CHECK FITMENT WITH US (outlined): we haven't verified the part for your vehicle. It can't go in the cart; request a quote instead, and a person confirms fit before you pay.
- DOES NOT FIT (red): the part doesn't fit your vehicle.
If we don't yet hold specifications for your vehicle, every part reads CHECK FITMENT WITH US until we do. A part without a vehicle set shows no badge: set your vehicle, or ask us, before you buy. Car care products don't depend on the vehicle and show no badge.
Where our fit information comes from
- The brands' own fitment data.
- Our own table of vehicle specifications, such as bolt pattern, center bore and lug hardware.
- For wheels, an open wheel-fitment dataset, credited at the foot of this page.
- Checks by our team. When our team has checked a part for your vehicle, its fitment card says who checked it and when.
When these sources disagree, or we're not sure, we don't guess: the part reads CHECK FITMENT WITH US and we quote it.
What a badge can't account for
A badge describes the part on your vehicle as it left the factory, at the setup shown. It can't see:
- Changes to your vehicle: lifts and leveling kits, aftermarket suspension, bumpers, fender flares, brake upgrades, wheel spacers, or tires larger than stock.
- Your vehicle's history: prior repairs, damage, wear or sagging springs.
- Production differences: mid-year changes, option packages and regional versions that the vehicle details don't capture.
- Combinations: a wheel's diameter, width and offset and a tire's size together decide clearance. A wheel and tire that each fit alone can still rub together at full steering lock or under suspension compression.
- Errors in the source data, which we correct as soon as we find them.
Check before you install
- Confirm your vehicle details. The year, make, model, trim, drive, cab and bed must match your vehicle. Your VIN settles it; send it to us in chat.
- Compare specifications. Check the part's specifications against your vehicle and its current setup.
- Test-fit wheels before mounting tires. Hold each wheel on the hub, front and rear, and check brake, suspension and spoke clearance before tires are mounted. Mounted wheels and tires can't be returned.
- Use the right lug hardware. Where we have them, the fitment card lists your vehicle's lug thread, seat type and hex size. Wheels may need different lug nuts, or hub-centric rings.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Some parts need trimming, an alignment, speedometer recalibration or professional installation.
Ask us first
Running a lift, different tires or anything else that isn't stock? Send us your VIN and your setup in chat, and we'll confirm before you pay. A fitment confirmation binds us when our team gives it in writing: in the chat, in a quote or by email. Answers from Wolf, our automated assistant, are general guidance only.
If a part doesn't fit
- Return it unused. A part that doesn't fit can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused, uninstalled and unmounted, in its original packaging, under our Shipping and returns rules.
- When the error is ours. If our FITS YOUR badge was wrong for your vehicle as it left the factory, or our team confirmed fit in writing and was wrong, we treat the return as our error: no restocking fee, a free return label, and a refund of the original freight for the part.
- Other cases. If a part doesn't fit because of changes to your vehicle, a badge condition that wasn't met, or vehicle details entered incorrectly, the standard restocking fee and return shipping apply.
- Installed parts. Parts that were mounted, installed, painted, cut or modified can't be returned, even if they don't fit. That is why we ask you to test-fit first.
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for a part that doesn't fit is limited to the return and refund described here; we don't cover installation labor, tire mounting, alignments or other costs.
Fitting is not the same as legal
A part that fits may still not be legal for use on public roads where you live. Lifts, tire coverage, lighting and emissions-related parts are regulated by state law. See "Using parts lawfully" in our Terms.
Wheel fitment data: ANKUSI Wheel Fitment Dataset (CC BY 4.0), cross-checked against manufacturer specifications and confirmed by our staff before a badge shows.
MAP and coupon rules
Effective October 30, 2026.
Many brands set a minimum price at which any dealer may advertise their parts. That is why some prices can't go lower, and why a coupon may not reduce every line in your cart. This page explains how prices and coupon codes work at American Wolf Autoworks. It is part of our Terms.
Minimum advertised prices (MAP)
- What MAP is. A minimum advertised price is set by the brand for each of its products, and it applies to every authorized dealer. Brands can change it at any time.
- What we do. As an authorized dealer, we never advertise or sell a part below its MAP, including after a coupon.
- Price matching. If you see a lower price from another authorized dealer, send us the link in chat. We can't match a price below MAP.
How coupon codes work
- One code per order. The cart takes one code. Codes never combine with each other, and never with the military and law-enforcement code.
- Line by line. A code applies to each eligible line in your cart separately, and only to the brands, categories or parts it covers.
- It stops at MAP. If a discount would take a line below its MAP, the discount stops at MAP for that line. A line already at MAP gets no discount. Before you pay, the cart shows which lines the code discounted, discounted in part, or skipped, and why.
- Parts only. A code takes a percentage or a fixed amount off parts. It doesn't reduce freight or sales tax.
- Dates. Every deal shows its start and end dates, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific time on its end date. A deal announced ahead of time shows its start date, and its code works from that date.
- Limits. A code may be limited to a total number of uses, or a number of uses per customer. We count a customer's uses by email address or phone number.
- Typed codes. Any active code works when typed at checkout, whether or not it is listed on our deals page.
- Quotes. A coupon included in a quote applies as the quote shows.
Free freight
Some orders ship free over a set amount, such as wheel and tire packages over $1,500. Free freight is applied automatically, with no code. The amount is measured after any coupon discount.
The military and law-enforcement code
We offer a code to eligible active-duty, reserve and retired military, veterans, and law-enforcement officers, after we verify eligibility. Like every code, it applies line by line and stops at MAP, and it never combines with another code.
Returns of discounted parts
If you return a part bought with a coupon, we refund what you actually paid for it, after the discount, under our Shipping and returns rules. The restocking fee is calculated on that price.
Fair use
- Codes have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and can't be applied to orders that are already paid.
- We may refuse a code, or cancel an order and refund it in full, if the code was published in error, was used in breach of these rules, or was used through multiple accounts or contact details to get around its limits.
- We may end or change a deal before its end date. We'll update the deals page when we do, and orders already paid keep their discount.
Privacy
Effective October 30, 2026. Last updated October 30, 2026.
American Wolf Autoworks LLC ("we," "us") collects the personal information it needs to sell and ship parts, answer your questions and run this website. We don't sell personal information for money. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers americanwolfautoworks.com, our chat, the emails and texts we send, and the orders, quotes, returns and claims made through them. Our detailing shop, American Wolf Detailing, is part of the same business but has its own website and its own privacy policy.
What we collect
Information you give us
- When you order: your name, email address, mobile number and shipping address; the vehicle you choose; the parts you buy; and any coupon code you use. Your card details go directly to our payment provider, Stripe. We receive the result of the payment and basic details such as the card type, never your full card number.
- When you request a quote: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, vehicle, the parts you ask about, your notes and any photos you attach.
- When you chat with us: your messages, and your name, email address, phone number or vehicle identification number (VIN) if you share them.
- When you return a part or report damage: the reason, your photos and the details of the parts involved.
- When you create an account: your name, email address and password, which we keep only as a scrambled copy (a hash). If we offer sign-in with Google and you use it, we receive the name, email address and profile picture link Google gives us, and Google's identifier for you. We also keep what you save in the account: vehicles, addresses, your cart and package builds, and your email choices.
- When you sign up for deals: your email address or mobile number, and a record of your consent: the words you agreed to and when.
- When you email us: your message and anything in it.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection details: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. Our hosting provider records these to run and protect the site.
- Sign-in records: each time you sign in to an account, we note the browser and network (IP) address used.
- Checkout details: when you continue to payment, we note your browser type, IP address, any analytics identifiers in your browser, and whether your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. We clear these 30 days later.
- Cookies and browser storage: your cart, vehicle, ZIP code and chat, so the site remembers them (see Cookies and similar tools).
- Analytics, if we switch it on: the pages and products you view and the steps you take in the cart and checkout (see Cookies and similar tools).
- Fraud screening: Stripe collects device and payment information at checkout to prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy.
Information from others
- Stripe: whether a payment succeeded, fraud screening results, refunds and card disputes.
- Our warehouse and carriers: tracking numbers, shipment and delivery status, and return status.
- Manufacturers: decisions on warranty claims.
- Google: your sign-in details, if you use sign-in with Google.
- Our detailing shop: if you were a detailing customer, your name and contact details from the shop's records, including its point-of-sale system.
Information we don't ask for
We never ask for your Social Security number, driver's license number or full card number. Please don't send them in chat, emails or photos.
How we use it
- To process, ship and track your orders, and to handle cancellations, returns, damage claims, refunds and warranty claims.
- To check whether parts fit your vehicle and to prepare quotes.
- To answer your chats and emails.
- To run your account, including signing you in and showing your orders, quotes and chats.
- To send service messages: receipts, order and shipping updates, quote emails and account security emails.
- To send marketing you agreed to receive, and, if you were a detailing customer, one announcement about our parts store.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the site secure, and enforce our Terms.
- To calculate and report sales tax, keep accounting records and meet our legal obligations.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, if analytics are switched on.
- For any other purpose we describe when we collect the information, with your consent.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as this policy describes:
- The warehouse that ships your order receives your name, shipping address and phone number, so it can ship and the carrier can reach you about delivery. It receives our email address, not yours.
- Carriers receive the same delivery details through the warehouse. Your order page shows the carrier's progress, so you don't need to visit the carrier's website.
- Manufacturers receive what a warranty claim needs, such as the part, the order date and your photos, through the warehouse.
- Service providers work for us under contracts that limit how they may use the information:
- Vercel hosts the site and stores photos you upload.
- Neon hosts our database.
- Stripe processes payments, calculates sales tax, screens for fraud and handles card disputes.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Inngest runs our background tasks, such as sending order emails.
- EasyPost gives us carrier tracking updates. It receives only tracking numbers and carrier names.
- ImprovMX and Google forward and store the emails you send to our addresses.
- Twilio will deliver text messages, if we offer them.
- Google and Meta provide website analytics and advertising measurement, if we switch them on (see Cookies and similar tools).
- Our detailing shop. American Wolf Detailing is part of the same business. We keep one contact record per person for both: name, email address, phone number, opt-ins and opt-outs. A STOP reply to a text from either business stops texts from both. Email choices are kept for each business separately. Accounts are separate: an account on one site never shows the other site's orders.
- For legal reasons: to comply with the law, a subpoena or a court order; to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our business or others; and to investigate fraud.
- If our business changes hands: to a buyer or successor in a merger, sale or reorganization, who must protect the information as this policy describes.
- With your consent, in any other case.
What we never do
- We don't sell your personal information for money.
- We don't share mobile phone numbers, text-message opt-in data or consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described in this policy excludes text-message opt-in data and consent.
- We don't share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing.
- We don't give the warehouse or carriers your email address, and we don't let them market to you.
"Selling" and "sharing" under California law
If we switch on Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, California law may treat letting Google or Meta collect information about your visit as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for advertising, even though no money changes hands. You can stop it with the "Do not sell or share my info" link at the foot of every page, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Either one keeps those tools from loading for you. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. We also keep some things in your browser's own storage. We use them as follows.
Needed to run the site
These are always on, because the site can't work without them:
- awa-account.session_token keeps you signed in to your account, for up to 30 days.
- awa_chat keeps your chat conversation together, for 30 days.
- awa_checkout connects your browser to a checkout in progress, for 24 hours.
- awa_quotes lets this browser reopen the quotes you requested, for 90 days.
- awa_vehicle and awa_zip remember the vehicle and ZIP code you chose, for fit badges and freight (the ZIP for one year).
- awa_deals remembers that you signed up for deals, for one year.
- awa_optout remembers that you chose "Do not sell or share my info," for one year.
- Browser storage keeps your cart, package builds, vehicle and chat on your device until you clear them. Signing out of an account clears the copies kept for that account.
Analytics and advertising, only if switched on
We may use Google Analytics, to see which pages and parts people look at, and the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads. When we do, they set their own cookies (such as _ga, _fbp and _fbc) and receive the pages and products you view, the steps you take in the cart and checkout, and what a completed order contained and cost. We don't send them your name, email address, phone number or shipping address. Google and Meta use the information under their own privacy policies; Google offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site.
These tools load only on the store's pages, and never for a browser that chose "Do not sell or share my info" or that sends Global Privacy Control.
Your choices
- "Do not sell or share my info." Choose this link at the foot of any page. It turns off analytics and advertising tools in that browser for one year. If you then sign up for deals, we also mark your contact record "do not sell or share."
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as the same choice, automatically.
- Do Not Track. Browsers' older Do Not Track signal has no agreed meaning, so we don't respond to it; we do honor Global Privacy Control.
- Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or write to us. You'll still receive emails about your orders, quotes and account.
- Text messages, if we offer them. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help.
- Your account. You can change your details or delete your account in its Settings.
- Your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the ones needed to run the site, your cart, sign-in and chat won't work properly.
Emails
- Service emails are receipts, order and shipping updates, return and refund messages, quote emails and account security emails. We send them as needed to serve you, and they aren't marketing.
- Marketing emails go only to people who ticked "Email me deals too" at checkout or signed up for deals. If you were a customer of our detailing shop, we may also email you an announcement about our parts store, unless you had declined emails or unsubscribed. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and our mailing address.
- Our emails come from a sending address that can't receive mail. Each email names the address that reaches us when you reply.
Text messages
We send text messages only to people who agree to receive them:
- Order texts go only to the number you enter, and only if you choose texts at checkout.
- Deal texts are a separate opt-in. Agreeing to them is never a condition of buying.
- Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us, including from our detailing shop, or HELP for help.
- We don't share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing (see What we never do).
Accounts
An account is optional. If you make one, we keep the information listed under What we collect. One cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
An order, quote or chat shows in your account only when we can tell it is yours: the same confirmed email address, or a code or step that proves it. You can delete your account in its Settings. Your sign-in, details, addresses, vehicles, cart and builds are then erased. Orders, returns, quotes and chats stay in our records, no longer linked to an account, because we need them for tax, warranty and legal purposes.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- Checkouts that never became orders: the name, phone number, email address, shipping address and browser details are erased 30 days after the checkout lapses.
- Browser details captured at checkout for completed orders: erased after 30 days.
- Orders, payments, returns, refunds and tax records: 7 years, for tax, accounting and warranty purposes.
- Chats and quotes: 3 years after the last message or activity.
- Photos you send us: as long as the order, quote, return or claim they belong to.
- Account information: until you delete the account. Sign-in records: 1 year.
- Consent records and opt-outs: 5 years after your last change, and opt-outs for as long as we need to honor them.
Backups may hold copies of deleted information for a short time before they are overwritten.
How we protect it
- The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as scrambled hashes.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Our team's access is limited by role.
- Order pages, quote pages and photos are served at long, unguessable addresses.
No system is perfectly secure. If you think your information or account is at risk, email hello@americanwolfautoworks.com right away. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your rights
Everyone
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information; and
- stop sending you marketing.
We answer within 45 days. We may keep information the law requires us to keep, such as tax records, or that we need for an open order, a warranty claim, fraud prevention or a legal claim, and we'll tell you if we do.
California residents
California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We don't use sensitive personal information (such as your account password) for anything but providing our services. We won't treat you differently, or charge you differently, for using these rights.
In the last 12 months, we collected these categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes this policy describes:
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number, shipping address, IP address and account sign-in.
- Commercial information: what you bought, quoted, returned or claimed.
- Internet activity: pages and products viewed, and actions on the site.
- Vehicle information: your vehicle and its VIN, if you share it.
- Photos you send with a quote, a return or a claim.
- Sensitive personal information: your account sign-in and password, used only to run your account.
We disclose identifiers, contact details and commercial information to the warehouse, carriers and service providers named in this policy, for the business purposes described. If analytics are switched on, internet activity may be "sold" or "shared" with Google and Meta as explained above.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request, with your signed permission. California residents may also ask whether we shared personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing; we don't.
Other states
Some other states give their residents similar rights. We honor requests from residents of any US state in the same way. If we decline your request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer. If we still decline, you may contact your state attorney general.
How to make a request
Email hello@americanwolfautoworks.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. To protect you, we confirm your identity first, for example by asking you to reply from the email address on your order or account, or for an order number.
Children
Our site is meant for adults, and buying requires being at least 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If we learn that we have a child's information, we delete it.
Where your information is kept
The site is for customers in the United States. We and our service providers store and process information in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We post the new version here with a new date, and it applies from that date. If a change is material, we'll also email account holders, or post a notice on the site, before it takes effect.

Terms
Effective October 30, 2026. Last updated October 30, 2026.
These Terms are the agreement between you and American Wolf Autoworks LLC for buying parts from americanwolfautoworks.com and for using the site. Please read them, and the policies they include, before you order. Section 24 limits our liability, and Section 26 explains how disputes are resolved.
1. Who we are
"American Wolf Autoworks," "we," "us" and "our" mean American Wolf Autoworks LLC, a California limited liability company based in Victorville, California. We are an authorized dealer for the brands we list. "You" means the person using the site or placing an order, and the business you buy for, if any.
Our detailing shop, American Wolf Detailing, has its own website, americanwolfdetailing.com, with its own terms. These Terms cover the parts store only.
2. This agreement
You accept these Terms when you place an order, request a quote, create an account, or otherwise use the site. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
These pages are part of these Terms:
- Shipping and returns, which sets out freight, delivery, damage claims, return windows, restocking fees and final-sale items by category.
- Privacy, which explains how we handle personal information.
- Fitment disclaimer, which explains what our fit badges mean.
- MAP and coupon rules, which explain minimum advertised prices and how coupon codes work.
If one of those pages conflicts with these Terms, the page made for that topic controls for that topic. The version of these Terms in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
3. Who may buy
To buy from us you must be at least 18 years old and able to make a binding contract. Orders must ship to an address we deliver to (Section 9). If you buy for a business, you confirm that you may bind that business to these Terms.
We sell to people and businesses that will use the parts themselves. We don't sell to resellers, and we may decline or cancel an order that appears to be for resale. We may also decline or cancel any order we reasonably believe is fraudulent, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms.
4. Accounts
You can buy without an account. If you create one:
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it was misused.
- Tell us right away at hello@americanwolfautoworks.com if you think someone else has used your account.
An account works on this site only; a Detailing account is separate. You can delete your account at any time in its Settings; our Privacy policy explains what is erased and what we keep. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these Terms or the law.
5. Product information
We describe products with information from their manufacturers and our warehouse: descriptions, specifications, images and fit data. We work to keep it accurate, but manufacturers change products, and data can contain errors.
- Photos may show finishes, options or accessories that aren't included. Colors vary by screen.
- Some items are sold in packs. The listing says how many units come in the pack and the price for each.
- The stock we show is our best information at the time. We confirm it when you pay and again before your order goes to the warehouse.
- Some products carry a California Proposition 65 warning on their product page and in the cart. Please read it before you buy.
- What our fit badges mean, and their limits, are explained in our Fitment disclaimer.
If a product we ship doesn't match its listing, you can return it under Section 14, and we treat it as our error.
6. Prices
Prices are in US dollars. Your cart shows the item prices, the freight and any sales tax before you pay.
- Minimum advertised prices. Many brands set a minimum advertised price (MAP). We never sell below it. Our MAP and coupon rules explain how this affects discounts.
- Price changes. Prices can change at any time. The prices in your cart when you pay are the prices you pay. A quote holds its price for the time it states (Section 16).
- Errors. If a price or other key detail is clearly wrong, for example because of a typing or system error, we may cancel the order before it ships, even after we have confirmed it. If we do, we'll tell you and offer the item at the correct price, or refund everything you paid.
- Price matching. If you find a lower advertised price from another authorized dealer, send us the link in chat. Matching is our decision and never goes below MAP.
7. Orders
Your order is an offer. When you pay, you offer to buy the items in your cart at the prices, freight and tax shown. The email we send right after confirms that we received your order; it is not yet our acceptance.
When we accept. We accept your order when we send it to the warehouse to ship, usually about 15 minutes after you pay. Until then, we may decline your order for any reason and refund it in full.
Larger orders. Orders above a set amount, currently $1,500, may be authorized on your card and held for a quick fraud check before they go to the warehouse. You'll hear from us either way, usually within the hour.
Orders we may cancel. We may decline or cancel an order before it ships if, for example:
- an item is out of stock or discontinued;
- a price or description was wrong (Section 6);
- we can't verify the payment, or we suspect fraud;
- the shipping address is outside the areas we ship to, or is a PO box;
- the order appears to be for resale (Section 3); or
- a law or a manufacturer's rule restricts the sale for your address.
If we cancel all or part of an order, we refund the full amount for what we cancel, including its share of freight and tax, to your original payment method, and release any authorization. If only part of an order can ship, we'll tell you, and you can keep the rest or cancel the part that hasn't shipped for a refund.
8. Payment and sales tax
Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. The payment methods we accept are shown at checkout. By paying, you authorize us to charge the order total.
When you're charged. Most orders are charged when you pay. An order held for a fraud check is authorized first and charged when we approve it; if we cancel it instead, the authorization is released.
Sales tax. We calculate sales tax at checkout from your shipping address and collect it where the law requires us to, currently for California addresses. If we don't collect tax for your address, your state may still require you to report and pay use tax on the purchase.
Refunds. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank may take several business days to show one.
Card disputes. If something is wrong with an order, please contact us first by chat or at hello@americanwolfautoworks.com; it is usually the fastest fix. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, we answer the dispute with the order's records, such as the delivery record, the tracking events and our messages with you.
9. Shipping and delivery
Our Shipping and returns page has the details and is part of these Terms. In short:
- Where we ship. The lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except the states listed on the Shipping and returns page. We don't ship to PO boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or military addresses. For an address we can't ship to online, chat with us and we'll see whether we can quote it.
- Who ships. Orders ship directly from our warehouse, sometimes in several boxes or shipments. Your order page shows each shipment and its progress.
- Freight. We quote freight for your ZIP code in the cart and lock it when you pay. It includes residential and liftgate delivery where the carrier charges for them, and it never changes after you pay. After you pay, we can change the delivery address only within the same ZIP code, so freight and tax stay as charged; a different ZIP needs a new order. Once the order is with the warehouse, an address change isn't certain.
- Delivery times. Delivery dates are estimates from the warehouse and carriers, not promises. If we can't ship an item within the time we stated, or within 30 days if we didn't state one, we'll tell you, and you can cancel that item for a full refund.
- Delivery. Carriers deliver without a signature and may leave parcels at your door. Freight carriers usually call the phone number on the order to arrange delivery, and hand you a delivery receipt to sign.
- Your address. Please check the shipping address before you pay. A wrong or incomplete address is treated as an undeliverable shipment (Section 12).
10. Title and risk of loss
Title to the products, and the risk of their loss or damage, pass to you when the carrier delivers them to your shipping address. Delivery is shown by the carrier's tracking record or the signed delivery receipt. If a shipment is lost or damaged before it is delivered, we handle the claim and replace or refund it (Section 11).
11. Damage, shortage and wrong items
Inspect on delivery. For a freight delivery, inspect the boxes before you sign the delivery receipt, and write any damage or shortage on it. For parcels, open the boxes the day they arrive.
Report within 24 hours. Take photos and report damage or a shortage within 24 hours of delivery, using REPORT DAMAGE on your order page. Keep every box and all packing material until the claim closes: the carrier may inspect them, and a claim without them can be refused. Don't install a damaged part.
What we do. We file the claim with the carrier and the warehouse for you. When it is accepted, we ship a replacement, or refund the item if a replacement isn't available. If you find damage later than 24 hours, tell us anyway; we'll try, but the carrier or the warehouse may refuse a late claim.
Wrong or missing items. If we ship the wrong part, or a part is missing, tell us through your order page or chat within the return window (Section 14). We'll fix it at no cost to you.
12. Refused and undeliverable shipments
If you refuse a delivery, or the carrier can't deliver after its attempts (including because of a wrong address), the shipment goes back to the warehouse. If we resend it, we charge the carrier's return charge and the new freight before we resend. If you'd rather have a refund, we refund what you paid less the carrier's return charge and the original freight.
13. Cancellations
You can cancel an order free of charge until we send it to the warehouse, usually within about 15 minutes of payment (our Shipping and returns page shows the current window). Ask in chat, and we hold the order while our team checks.
After the order has gone to the warehouse, we can ask the warehouse to stop it, but that isn't certain. Once it ships, it becomes a return under Section 14. Special-order and discontinued parts can't be cancelled once we have ordered them. A cancelled order is refunded in full to your original payment method.
14. Returns
Our Shipping and returns page lists the return rules for each category of part, and the return form shows your refund estimate before you submit. The main rules:
- Ask within 14 days of delivery, using START A RETURN on your order page.
- Condition. Parts must be unused, uninstalled and unmounted, in their original packaging with all hardware and instructions. Some categories are stricter: lighting and car care must be unopened.
- Return authorization. We get a return authorization (RMA) from the warehouse, usually within a business day, and email you a prepaid, insured return label. Put the RMA number on the label and on every box; the warehouse refuses boxes without it.
- Ship within 5 days of receiving the RMA, so the return reaches the warehouse inside its 30-day limit. A return that arrives late may be refused.
- Restocking fee. A restocking fee applies to the item price: 15% for most parts and 20% for performance and diesel parts, or as the page lists for the category.
- Return shipping. The cost of the return label is deducted from your refund, unless the return is because of our error.
- Packaging. A return without acceptable packaging may carry a repackaging fee.
Final sale. These can't be returned: special-order, clearance and discontinued parts; special-order finishes; coilovers; turbochargers, superchargers and turbo kits; engine internals; electronics such as tuners, programmers, modules and controllers; and anything mounted, installed or opened where its category's rule says so. Final-sale items are marked on the product page and in the cart before you buy. Defective final-sale parts are still covered by their manufacturer's warranty (Section 15).
Our error. If we shipped the wrong part or a part that didn't match its listing, or our FITS YOUR badge was wrong for your vehicle as it left the factory, or our team confirmed fit in writing and was wrong, we waive the restocking fee and the return label and refund the original freight for the item.
Refunds. We refund the price you paid for the item, less any coupon discount on it, plus its share of sales tax, minus the restocking fee and return label that apply. Original freight is not refunded unless the return is our error. We issue the refund to your original payment method after the warehouse receives and inspects the return, usually within 10 business days of its arrival. A return that doesn't meet these rules may be refused, sent back to you at your cost, or refunded with deductions for missing parts or packaging.
15. Warranties
Manufacturer warranties. The products we sell are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, if the manufacturer gives one, on the manufacturer's terms. We don't add a warranty of our own.
How we help. If a part is defective, chat with us or email hello@americanwolfautoworks.com. We route the claim through the warehouse to the manufacturer. You may need to send the part back; there is no restocking fee, and the return label is deducted unless the manufacturer covers it. The manufacturer decides whether to repair, replace or credit the part after inspecting it, usually in 2 to 4 weeks. Unless the manufacturer's warranty says otherwise, it doesn't cover labor, installation, towing, rental vehicles or other costs.
No other warranties. Except for the manufacturer's warranty and any warranty the law gives you that can't be waived, we sell products without other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived, including California's consumer warranty laws.
Your vehicle's warranty. Federal law generally doesn't let a vehicle maker void your warranty only because you installed an aftermarket part. Damage that a part or its installation causes may still not be covered. Check with your vehicle's dealer before installing.
16. Quotes
When we can't confirm that a part fits, when a package needs checking, or when we can't ship to your address online, you can request a quote. A person on our team checks fitment and price and replies within 3 business days.
A quote lists the parts, prices and freight. It holds its prices through 11:59 PM Pacific time on the seventh day after we send it; after that it expires, and prices may change. You accept a quote by paying for it through its checkout, and Sections 7 to 15 then apply as they would to any order. If stock or prices change before you pay, we send you an updated quote.
17. Using parts lawfully
You are responsible for making sure that the parts you buy, and the way you install and use them, comply with the laws where you drive. That includes laws on emissions, lift and bumper height, headlamp aim, lighting, exhaust noise and vehicle equipment.
- Emissions. In California, and in states that follow California's rules, a part that affects a vehicle's emissions controls may be used on public roads only if the California Air Resources Board has exempted it (an Executive Order number). Unless a listing says a part is exempted or emissions-legal, performance and diesel parts are sold only for racing and off-road use, in vehicles that are never driven on public roads.
- Lighting. Some lights, such as light bars and off-road lamps, are not legal for use on public roads, and must be covered or switched off there.
- Lifts and tires. Lifting a vehicle or changing its tire size affects handling, braking, stability and rollover risk, and can change speedometer, stability-control and airbag behavior. Choose tires with a load index and speed rating at least equal to your vehicle's requirement.
We may refuse to sell or ship any part to any address, or ask you to confirm how you'll use it, where we believe the law requires it.
18. Installation and safety
Many of the parts we sell affect steering, braking, suspension and your vehicle's safety. They should be installed by a qualified professional, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Use the lug hardware your vehicle and wheels require, torque it to specification, and re-torque it after the first 50 to 100 miles.
- Have the alignment checked after suspension or steering work, and check brake, fender and suspension clearance before driving.
- Move or replace tire-pressure sensors as your vehicle requires.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for installation done by you or others, or for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, misuse, racing, overloading, or modifying a part.
19. Chat and our advice
Our chat starts with Wolf, an automated assistant. Wolf answers common questions from our store's information; it is not a person and can be wrong. Our team takes over when you ask, during our business hours.
Advice in chat, whether from Wolf or our team, is general guidance; the manufacturer's instructions come first. A fitment confirmation, a quote, a price or a change to your order binds us only when our team gives it in writing: in the chat, in a quote or by email. Please don't send card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers in chat.
20. What you send us
When you send us photos, messages, a VIN or vehicle details, you confirm that you have the right to send them. You let us use them to handle your order, quote, return, damage claim or warranty claim, and to share them with the warehouse, a carrier or a manufacturer for that purpose. We don't publish what you send us without your permission. Please don't send anything unlawful, or anyone else's personal information.
If you send us an idea or a suggestion, we may use it without owing you anything.
21. Using the site
You may use the site to shop and to manage your orders, for your own use. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or harvest the site's content, prices or data with automated tools;
- use bots to buy, reserve or monitor products;
- interfere with the site's security, probe it for weaknesses, or overload it;
- use a coupon code you aren't eligible for, or abuse returns, refunds or promotions;
- pretend to be someone else; or
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may limit or suspend access for anyone who does. The site may sometimes be unavailable, for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.
22. Intellectual property
The site's content, including its text, design, photographs we took, logos and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. Brand names, logos and product images belong to their owners, and we use them as an authorized dealer or as the law allows. Wheel fitment data from an open dataset is used under its license, which is credited on our Policies page. You may not use our content or marks without written permission.
23. Electronic communications
You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, and that electronic agreements, notices and records satisfy any requirement that they be in writing.
- Service emails. We email about your orders, shipments, returns, quotes and account as needed to provide them.
- Marketing. We send deals and news only if you opt in, or as the law otherwise allows. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Texts. If we offer text messages, we send them only with your consent. Reply STOP to stop them.
Please keep your email address current so these reach you.
24. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use of a vehicle, towing, rental vehicles, downtime or installation labor, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for any claim about a product or an order is limited to the amount you paid us for the product involved.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as carrier delays, weather, natural disasters, labor disputes, supply shortages, or government action.
These limits don't apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Some states don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
25. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, and the costs that come with them, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your installation or use of a part in breach of the law or the manufacturer's instructions.
26. Disputes
Talk to us first. Most problems are solved quickly. Before starting any legal action, email hello@americanwolfautoworks.com with your name, your order number, the problem and what you are asking for. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Governing law and courts. California law governs these Terms and any dispute about them or the site, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, along with any federal law that applies. Except for small claims, any action must be brought in the state or federal courts for San Bernardino County, California, and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
27. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We post the new version on this page with a new date, and it applies from that date. An order is governed by the version in effect when it was placed. We will email account holders about material changes.
28. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the pages they include are the whole agreement between you and us about the site and your orders.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a term at one time doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale, merger or reorganization of our business.
- No third-party rights. No one else may enforce these Terms.
- Survival. Sections that by their nature continue after an order or after you stop using the site, such as warranties, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes, continue.
- Interpretation. Headings are for convenience. "Including" means "including without limitation."
